Year 13 Leavers’ Day

The sun had been booked, the food ordered, and the mood was a subtle blend of excited anticipation tinged with sadness and nostalgia. It could only mean that 26 May had arrived, the final day that the Year 13s would be students.

The celebrations commenced with a Final Assembly, with Director of Sixth Form Mr Keshavarz guiding the leavers through the highlights of their edifying educational journey aided by images from throughout their school career, pausing occasionally to dwell on what the future might hold for them all, as indicated by the mystical powers of astrology.  These proceedings were brought to a conclusion with a quiz for staff and students revealing several hidden truths, with some additional predictions, before the students feasted on a BBQ facilitated by Mr Keshavarz. Many staff and tutors were able to join the students, swapping memories from the past seven years, sharing in a fitting celebration of this Independence Day for a well-loved set of students.

We wish all the Sixth Form students leaving every success in the future, and we look forward to finding out about their continued accomplishments in years to come.
