Trip to Berlin
On the last days of summer term, 14 sixth form students, accompanied by Mr. Philips and Mrs. Smith, travelled to Berlin for a three-day educational visit.
While in Berlin, the students had the opportunity to visit multiple famous landmarks and museums such as: The Fernsehturm (TV tower), Brandenburg Gate, Topography of Terrors, Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, East Side Gallery and Checkpoint Charlie. They also had a fantastic time sampling the many gastronomic delicacies such as ‘currywurst mit pommes’ and Berlin’s very own kebabs.
The students found Berlin to be a vibrant city with beautiful architecture and full of many different cultures and beliefs. Many thanks go to both Mr. Philips and Mrs. Smith for organising such a great experience!
