Sheringham Sixth Form Awards Evening 2018
On 5 January Sheringham Sixth Form staff, students and parents assembled for our annual Awards Evening.
We were delighted to welcome back last year’s Year 13 students to celebrate their outstanding A Level achievements, including eight Norfolk Scholars, 100% of students achieving A* – E grades and over 33% A* – B grades, with all students securing destinations of choice, 70% of whom went to university. It was wonderful to catch up with our students before they returned to their university courses and employment, and to have an update on their adventures since leaving the Sixth Form, which included several students travelling around the world.
In addition to the distribution of the A Level certificates, Heads of Subjects awarded subject prizes, with amusing insights into the students they taught. A fantastic evening of festivities was concluded with a heartfelt speech from ex-students Laura Edge and Harriet Pigney, who explained how much their Sixth Form experiences had meant to them.
Our thanks go to all the staff, students and parents who contributed to making this such a memorable event, but of course, our warmest congratulations go to all our Year 13 students for whom the celebration was held, especially the prize winners:
